Biography:
Alessandra Introvaia was born in Catania, Italy. She received her Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2023, with a thesis titled “AI-Based Prediction of Treatment Response in Colorectal Cancer Patients Using Digital Pathology”. She worked as a Research Fellow from March 2024 to October 2025 at Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration between the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications. Her research activities focus on the development of artificial intelligence pipelines for microscopy image analysis of in vitro models within several PNRR-funded projects in bionanotechnology and regenerative medicine. She is also involved in clinical data modeling and software development for periodontal patient management systems.
Since November 2025, she is a Ph.D. Student in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences. Her research interests include multiscale and multimodal biomedical data analysis, artificial intelligence methods for the analysis and processing of medical data and images, and clinical decision support systems for precision and regenerative medicine.
