Biography:
Alen Shahini was born in Alessandria, Italy. He received his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2023 with the thesis “Simulation of histological images by Generative Adversarial Networks”. He worked as a Researcher under grant from September 2023 to October 2024 at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. He is currently a Ph.D. Student in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. His main area of expertise includes the development and validation of monomodal and multimodal artificial intelligence techniques, Machine Learning-based and Deep Learning-based, for the analysis and processing of medical data and images, in the field of precision oncology and digital pathology, for classification, segmentation, prediction and simulation purposes.
